The fairies are attracted by many plants, usually those that are fragrant or just their size. We grow lots of cushiony thymes for fairy naps, as well as babies tears and Irish moss. They love anything with bells, so we grow miniature bellflowers, balloonflowers, and tiny coral bells. Lily-of-the-valley, columbines, fragrant dames rocket, heliotrope, and sweet alyssum add their perfumes. They also love the pansies and violas of spring, sweet woodruff, and violets. Some plants are named for fairies, so they are included: Daylily “Joyful Elf” and “Fairy Mist”, Ajuga “Pink Elf”, and many more. Visit our Fairy Garden or the Enchanted Forest for more ideas!
