This is the garden I come to each morning, a cup of tea in one hand, my ever-present clipboard in the other. The flowers here are my favorite colors—apricot, coral, soft yellows and oranges, touches of pink, rose and lavender—all the colors I see in the sunrise. It is a mixture of annuals, perennials, bulbs, and flowering shrubs. My father built the bench from my sketch many years ago. The beds echo the shape of the sunburst, and there is always something interesting in bloom.
