This playing deck has exquisite illustrations in full color of 54 spices from around the world.  They show the many beautiful plants used to flavor, and sometimes to preserve foods.  Each card includes the plant, plus a detailed "close-up" of the most important part of the plant (root, flower, seed, leaves, bark, pod, etc.), the common name, scientific name, and an interesting fact or comment about the spice's use of history.
